Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Studio Planetes (“we”, “us”) governing your use of our mobile apps and website (the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to purchase a subscription. If you are between 13 and 18 you may use the Services only with a parent or guardian's permission.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and device secure and for all activity under your account. Give us accurate information and keep it current. Tell us promptly at support@studioplanetes.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- Billed by Apple. Paid features are sold as subscriptions through Apple's App Store. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, and Apple's terms also apply to your purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Apple charges your Apple ID account at renewal.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in your Apple ID settings: open Settings on your device, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose the app and tap Cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Free trials. If a trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Price changes. If we change a price, Apple will notify you and you will have the chance to cancel before it takes effect.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Services for anything unlawful; attempt to access other users' data or our systems without authorisation; reverse engineer, scrape or copy the Services except as permitted by law; use the Services to generate content that is abusive, harassing or infringes others' rights; or interfere with the Services' operation. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
5. AI-generated content and wellbeing
Reflections, interpretations, astrological readings and other content produced by the Services are generated automatically by AI and are provided for self-reflection and entertainment only. They are not medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial or other professional advice, and they are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Do not rely on them to make decisions about your health or safety.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or others, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately. In the United States, call or text 988. The Services cannot detect or respond to emergencies.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. We do not guarantee its accuracy, and you are responsible for how you use it.
6. Your content
You own what you write. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display your content solely to operate and improve the Services for you, including sending it to our AI provider to generate your reflections. We do not use your content to train AI models and we do not sell it. You can export or delete it at any time.
7. Our intellectual property
The Services, including software, design, text, graphics, trademarks and the structure of the AI prompts and features, are owned by Studio Planetes or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple's usage rules. You may use AI output generated for you for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time in the app or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Services, in which case we will give reasonable notice where practical. Sections 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11 survive termination.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studio Planetes and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from or related to the Services or these Terms. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that gives you mandatory rights under local law, nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
13. Apple
These Terms are between you and Studio Planetes, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
